Active Sindy had metal rivets in her shoulders, with her two arms joined together through her body with rubber bands.
Her head was marked 033050X and her body marked MADE IN HONG KONG. She was 28cms tall.
Active Sindy's double cup waist pictured here, which made her even more flexible and able to pose.

In 1974 The first Active Sindy appeared. She had a double cup waist, and a double neck joint, riveted
shoulder joints, ball joints at the wrists and bending elbows and knees.
Sindy's hands
were fixed on to ball bearing wrist joints. These joints often didn't survive alot of play, as they were weakened
by the design of the hand in relation to the ball bearing at the end of the arm. A sudden twist would cause
the hand to snap away from the ball bearing and it would break off. This was then almost impossible to fix. It
must have been a common occurance, as many of these 1974 Active Sindys are found like this today!
Sindy now had what we know today as saran hair. It was thick, shiny and
much more manageable; and available in brunette, blonde or auburn. It was tied at the back with a purple
ribbon to match the tutu of her ballet outfit.
